About
I am a software engineer with a passion for creating bespoke, high-end, accessible user interfaces with a strong focus on performance and user experience. Beyond the frontend, I love architecting APIs, working with cloud providers like AWS or GCP, and experimenting with server deployment and automation to ensure applications are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Currently, I am a full-stack engineer at Hometrack, helping to build a web data hub designed to redefine the mortgage journey for lenders, brokers and borrowers.
Outside of work, I’m often immersed in side projects, experimenting with IoT devices, setting up servers using technologies like Unraid and TrueNAS, or fine-tuning automation workflows. When I'm not tinkering with tech, you'll probably find me climbing, swimming, or exploring the scenic trails around Kent.
My journey into web development began during my school days when I learned how to build a website to showcase my photography work during my GCSEs and A-levels. That initial spark led me to study Computer Science at the School of Computing at the University of Kent in Canterbury.
Before my final year at University, I spent a year in industry working at a travel and tourism company where I gained hands-on experience in building modern web development, an opportunity that shaped my approach to building intuitive and efficient software.
